

Funeral services for Kellie D. Moore, age 43 of Ogdensburg will be held on Thursday (Dec 5, 2013) at 10:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith and Rev. Katrina Hebb officiating. Her place of rest will be at Foxwood Memorial Park.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Kellie passed away at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse late Saturday evening Nov 30th surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are her children Jordyn, Shelbie & Shannon LaRock of Ogdensburg; her parents Michael & Sherrill “Sherrie” Moore of Lisbon; a brother Brian Moore of Lisbon; a sister Melissa Burke & her husband Michael of Lisbon; grandchildren Madyson & Venessa Thomas, paternal grandmother Jane Allison Wood, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Erwith & Rena Dezell, Myrton & Beatrice Moore, and Donald A. Wood.
Kellie was born on May 29, 1970 in Hartford, CT the daughter of Michael & Sherrill (Dezell) Moore. She graduated from Lisbon Central School and continued her education at SUNY Canton where she majored in Criminal Justice. She later married James LaRock on February 24, 1990 at the United Presbyterian Church in Lisbon. The couple’s marriage later ended.
She began her career as a Activities/Healthcare Aide for United Helpers ICF, and later joined the NYS Department of Corrections where she worked as an officer for 16 years throughout the state, and most recently at the Riverview Correctional Facility.
She enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, fishing/camping, spending time with her children and grandchildren and her pet dogs Ringo & Ruby.
