Graveside services will be held privately at Sunnyside Cemetery in Morristown.
Patricia is survived by her loving daughter, Sandy Bailey of Morristown; six cherished grandchildren, Richard, William, Michael, and Joshua Blasko, Sara and Hunter Woodcock; four great-grandchildren Skye, Zeb, Delaney and Owen; and a brother, Robert Blackmer of Tennessee.
She was predeceased by her husband, William L. Woodcock; a son, Jamie Woodcock; her brothers, Richard and Thomas Blackmer; a sister Janice Gilmer and her son-in-law, Chris Bailey.
Born in Ogdensburg on August 8, 1937, Patricia was the daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Ludwig) Blackmer. She graduated from Morristown Central School in 1955 and proudly served her country in the United States Air Force as part of the Women in the Air Force (WAF) from 1955 to 1957. On February 21, 1964, she was united in marriage to William L. Woodcock.
Patricia dedicated much of her life to caring for others through her work as a Radiology Technician at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital, where she served faithfully from 1962 until her retirement in 2000. Never one to remain idle, she returned part-time shortly after retiring and spent an additional ten years specializing as a mammography technician, continuing her compassionate care for patients.
A woman deeply committed to her community, Pat was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Morristown knitting group, and volunteered at Claxton-Hepburn Hospital. She also served as a Girl Scout leader and took great pride in organizing Memorial Day activities, especially the meaningful tradition of children placing flags on veterans’ graves.
In her free time, she found joy in reading, crocheting, gardening, and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Her kindness, service, and dedication to others will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morristown Volunteer Fire Department. Condolences and fond memories may be shared online at www.foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
