

Funeral services for Pauline W. DeLair, age 82 of Heuvelton will be held on Saturday (April 18, 2015) at 11:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Foxwood Memorial Park.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00pm and again Saturday from 10am until the time of the funeral. Mrs. DeLair passed away at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center on Saturday evening (April 11, 2015).
Surviving are two sons Robert DeLair of Massena and Duane (Jan) DeLair of Arkansas; a daughter Diane (Stuart) Edwards of Caledonia NY; two brothers Dale (Phyllis) Wood of Littlestown, PA and Bruce (Phyllis) Wood of Lisbon; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Her husband J. Albert DeLair and a grandson Dana DeLair predeceased her.
Pauline was born on August 12, 1932 in Lisbon NY, a daughter of the late Clifford & Beulah (LaLone) Wood. She graduated from Lisbon Central School and continued her education at the Ogdensburg Business School. She later married J. Albert DeLair on July 3, 1959 at the United Presbyterian Church in Lisbon.
She worked as an administrative assistant for St. Lawrence County Emergency Services for 25 years, and retired in 1975. Pauline was a past member of the Heuvelton Fire Department Auxiliary and the Ford E. Beatty Chapter of OES. She also enjoyed crafts, traveling, cooking, baking, socializing and spending time with her friends and family.
