Richard A. Sprowls, age 59 of Rensselaer Avenue in Ogdensburg passed away on December 30, 2015 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center after being stricken while driving. There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
Surviving are two sons Richard (Melissa) Sprowls of Morristown, Mark Sprowls & his companion Laura Collins of Ogdensburg; two brothers Lawrence Sprowls of LeRay, VA and Robert Sprowls of Ogdensburg and two grandchildren Wesley & Collin Sprowls.
Richard was born on May 27, 1956 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of the late Elwin & Eileen (Ramsey) Sprowls. He graduated from Lisbon Central and later married Carol LaLonde which ended in divorce.
During his career he was a farm worker for many years, laborer at Trinity Plastics in Virginia for 12 years, a laborer at Losurdo Foods in Heuvelton for 10 years and most recently drove truck part-time for Duprey’s trucking.
Richard enjoyed coloring, buying movies, playing Yahtzee, bowling, reading history books and spending time with his family.
