

Funeral services for Scott A. Phillips, age 45 of Ogdensburg, will be held on Wednesday (Nov 8, 2017) beginning with visitation for friends and family at 11:00am until the time of the service at 1:00pm at the Grace Baptist Church in Ogdensburg. Burial will be held at a later date at the Grove Street Cemetery in Gouverneur.
Scott died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday Nov 1, 2017 following a series of health issues. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
Surviving is his mother Bonnie Phillips of Ogdensburg, two daughters Jenelle Phillips of Branden, IA and Amariah Phillips of Lake Tahoe, NV; a brother Carl Phillips & his companion Heather Perry of Ogdensburg; a sister Michelle Phillips of Ogdensburg along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.
Scott was born on March 18, 1972 in Watertown NY, a son of Earl “Butch” W. and Bonnie (Lindsay) Phillips. He attended Lisbon and Ogdensburg Schools for his education and later married Laurie Skidds which ended in divorce.
During his career he was employed as a painter and waiter in Lake Tahoe, NV, the Lasurdo Cheese Plant in Heuvelton as a laborer, and as a cook for Little Italy in Ogdensburg until his health began to fail. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar, cooking and being around his friends and family.
