I met Val so many years ago when we were both teenagers. She was suppose to call me the next day and I thought she did not. She thought I gave her the wrong name and phone number and I did not (the phone was in my buddies name). We met a couple of days later and we were both mad at each other until we knew the details. We became friends. Not long after I joined the military and she got married. We remained friends for over 40 years. I got to know her mom and for years my dad use to stop in at the restaurant she worked at. I know she was looking forward to retirement. She so loved her children and loved visiting them. I am sad she will miss retirement and her children will miss her. We will all miss Val. I will miss her asking me "what is your real name". RIP Val!

To the Burwell and Schneller families,
I am so saddened and heart broken to hear of Val’s passing. I have many fond memories of our years in school as classmates in the LCS Class of 78. While we saw each other less and less over the years, I always enjoyed when we saw each other, catching up on family, classmates, and life. She was a wonderful, positive, friendly, bubbly person who will be missed by so many and was taken from us way too soon. You are each in my thoughts and prayers. Val May you Rest in Peace and fly high with the angels my friend.

I met Valerie when I was the Business Development person for Dairy at G&C Foods. I am originally from Ogdensburg and we shared a lot of memories as we knew a lot of the same people. She knew my Dad, Louie, and my Mom's family the Bruyere's. We became friends and I got her into G&C Foods. I live in NH, so we were not able to get together much. She was such a bubbly person and a special lady. I am so sorry for the family as I know she was well loved. Prayers for you all during this difficult time. God Bless You All!

I met Valerie through my sister, Carol years ago. I'll always remember our trip to New Orleans and the many birthday parties in New Jersey for Shea and Ryan. Good memories. My deepest condolences to the family! I know my sister will miss her 'valley Val' tremendously! April

I am so saddened to read of Val's untimely passing. I have many memories of time spent with Val. We always had fun when we were together and especially the time we made egg rolls for a firemen's banquet. What a time we had! I am so happy Val and I reconnected via facebook and were able to catch up. Remember, as long as you hold her in your hearts and have her memories, she will never truly be gone. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Rosemary Davis Knowlton, Batesburg, SC and formerly of Heuvelton.

Dear Kristen & Ashley, we came to know your mother through our good friend Bruce, who she loved so very much. I knew a visit from the two of them would be full of great food, drinks and many laughs. Your mom was a passionate, caring woman, who would go out of her way to help others. Her laugh was infectious and her sense of humor undaunting. She was a quite a lady and one we are privileged to have know!

With our deepest condolences,
Jeff & Lisa C.

For 40 years we have been a part of each others life. The good ,the divorces, having children around the same age, the good boy friends and the very bad boy friends. The fun casino times or just hanging out and catching up. We have been through a lot together and a lot apart. I can not even imagine my life without your calls or texts. I know how much you loved your girls and grand children especially the new grand baby Meadow. You have always been a great friend and a fun loving person. You will missed by all who had the pleasure to spend time with you. Kristen and Ashley I am so very sorry for this sudden and heartbreaking loss. I am very lucky to have many memories to cherish of times spent with your Mom.
