I met Andy in the CBMC prayer group that met at JASCO.  He was always encouraging us to 'Keep Looking Up' and leading by example what it meant to live out his faith and share the good news of the gospel with anyone and everyone he encountered. I deeply appreciate his prayers and concern for my family during some difficult times. I will always remember to Keep Looking Up and to encourage others to do the same.

Andy and I met in 2002 at Mardel in the bargain books.    We talked for hours and became fast friends.    He loved hearing stories of babies saved from abortion and their moms and dads coming to Christ at Crossroads Clinic.  He came to every Banquet and many of our Crossroads celebrations.   He provided us with thousands of gospel tracts over the years!  He was an amazing prayer partner and encourager.    I will cherish the memories of our conversations, prayer times, and the many cards he sent over the years.   It’s awesome to know that he is face to face with the Savior he loved!    Andy, till we meet again, I will Keep Looking Up.

Andy and my brother Gordn Pugh were best of friends from the time they were barely teens (early 1950's) and remained that way until Gordon passed in just a few years ago. I was about 10 years younger, but even as a four year old, I remember how nice Andy was to me and everyone. My Mom and Dad knew the faily even before Gordon and Andy me,t and everyone in my family throught so highly of Andy and his entire family. Everytime I saw him in later years, he gave me a Christian track and another one to give to someone else. My condolances to Andy's immediate family, and to his brother, Earnie and his family. It is comforting to know Andy is in the place he strived for his entire life.

Your DAD, Cindy, did a Good Thing!

He DID a "Very, HARD Thing"!

He ADOPTED my Mom's  Four children, and was a "FATHER" to us.

I, personally 'VALUE' the times He took Me "Fishing".

Even at 'Great Expense' to Lac La Ronge, CANADA!

He, Bud Carter, H.A., Drew, and I stayed in a very Rugged 'OutPost' Cabin on the Lake in Saskatchewan, CANADA. We flew in by a "Float Plane", and landed on the Lake!

We Really DID!  That was Soo Very COOL!

We Fished for "WallEye" and "Northern Pike", using Red and White, treble-hook, 'Dare-Devil' Spinners, which were 'VERY' Effective!!

Sometimes, when You landed a "Very Large and ANGRY, Toothy Northern Pike", it was necessary to "Stun" it with the OAR while retrieving the hook. VERY Sharp Teeth!

I was in a separate boat with Drew, while Bud and Andy, and H.A. were fishing around the bend.

DAD 'always' told the STORY, that He could hear DREW throughout the day, using the OAR to "Beat the Fish" over the head, from a good distance away.

I, personally, remember meeting-up at the Out-Post Cabin after a Day of Fishing.

Drew and I had a successful day, but arrived late. We still had the "Toothy head" of a Northern Pike on one of the rods that We couldn't Get Off.

We went inside the OutPost Cabin for dinner, and when We came outside, that Northern Pike's head was still 'chewing the hook', and trying to Escape!!

Besides the trips to Canada, there were vacations to Colorado and Angel Fire, New Mexico where we learned to snow ski.

Soo Many FUN Experiences. Dairy Queen and A&W Root Beer, a once a week Family Tradition. Church Services Sunday Morning,  Sunday Evening,  AND Wednesday Evening where we had Fellowship Supper.  

That old Station Wagon.  "DAD'S Day" at an OU Football Game.(We lost to Kansas! Boo!!)

Andy was a faithful member of our Thursday morning prayer group through CBMC Christian Business Men’s Connection.  He was a true champion of the faith. He will be greatly missed. He encouraged all of us in our journey to “Keep looking up”.

I don't know the whole story of Andy Cornelius, but I admired and appreciated the man who would encourage me, pray for me, give me another track to share with someone, and remind me to "keep looking up!"

Andy was the last of his generation of Christian businessmen who engaged others from across Oklahoma City to meet, pray, and live out their faith in the marketplace. By the time I came along, his leadership was that of showing up, looking up, and encouraging others. He was as unpretentious as they come. He knew himself and he knew His Lord! What a gift.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Andy was an exceptional man and one of my dad’s (Gordon Pugh) very best friends for his entire life. I remember so many wonderful qualities that he had. We can only strive to be more like him and lead others to Christ as he did. After my dad died, he bought my sister and me and our kids Bibles because he said he couldn’t think of a better thing to leave for his dear friend’s family during such loss than the word of God. I will never forget the comfort that brought me. He will most certainly be missed, but I know they are having a party in heaven. I hope you find comfort in knowing we will all be reunited one day!! May God’s peace that transcends all understanding be with you during this difficult time. Cindy, I know the time you were able to spend with him meant the world to him! You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers.
