Audra was born in Oklahoma City to Joe Putnam and Peggy Carroll. Born into a military family, she grew up in multiple states including Oklahoma, Virginia, and Texas throughout the course of her childhood. Her most fond memories are her friends from Houston where she spent most her teens and twenties.
She eventually moved back to Oklahoma to be near her father and mother where she then met her husband, Lawrence Johns. She was a daddy's girl and was very proud of her highly decorated Vietnam veteran father and the Putnam family military history that dates back to George Washington.
Audra started her own business called Body Confections where she had her bath and body items in stores worldwide including Dubai, New York, and Vegas. Most of her orders were online and she worked day and night to make her customers happy. She was always going the extra mile for people, often times adding tons of extra free stuff to the packages. She also loved going to college, taking classes, and bettering herself. She completed a medical assistant school down in Texas earlier in life and then later she became a certified interior decorator.
She loved her dogs more than life. She had a passion for not only bettering herself, but also the people whose lives she touched. She enjoyed helping old people and others in their time of need. Her hobbies were dressing up her dogs in multiple outfits, going to the shooting range with her father, collecting dirt from famous places, the study of sharks, and driving her sports cars.
She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Heather Lynn Drapeau, and her pets peanut, bruiser, ginger, and scrat.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence Johns, her father Joe Putnam, her mother Peggy Carroll, and her pets Punky, jojo "chicken", and rocker.
A funeral service for Audra will be held Monday, August 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Funeral Home's Historic Cemetery Chapel located at 13400 North Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
