

A Life Centered in Love Born on November 5, 1932, to Maude and Sylvester Brown, Betty Jo’s heart was always focused on the people she loved most. Growing up with her sisters, Elwanda and Marylou, she learned early on the importance of family – a value that became the cornerstone of her entire life.
After graduating from Coleman High School, Betty Jo shared many devoted years with her husband, Donald McMahan. Together, they built a life in California, where she poured her energy into the care and happiness of her home and children. Following Donald’s passing, Betty Jo returned home to Oklahoma. Throughout her 93 years, she lived with an unmistakable devotion, finding her greatest fulfillment and pride in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
Reunited in Peace Betty Jo has gone on to be reunited with the family members who paved the way before her including her husband, Donald McMahan; son, Michael McMahan; sisters, Elwanda and Marylou; parents, Maude and Sylvester Brown.
Betty Jo’s legacy of love lives on through her family including daughter, Pamela Young, and son, David McMahan & grandchildren: Becky Pereda, Susanna McMahan, Molly Thomas, Scott McMahan, Ricky Reitz, and Amber Christian.
She will be remembered as a mother and grandmother who gave her full heart to her family, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories.
