Brenda Joyce Callahan was born April 28, 1948, in Long Beach, California. She passed from this life on September 21, 2017, at home in Yukon, OK. Brenda was a graduate of Star-Spencer High School and worked as a program coordinator at OU Health Sciences Center, ending her career in the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences (GPiBS). She had many friends and was a member of Bethel Community Church.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Evalyn (Williams) Preslar; husband of 25 wonderful years, Ted Callahan; and brother, Mitchell. She is survived by her brother, Daniel Hollensbe; step-son, Teddy Callahan; step-daughter, Barbara Lorenzen; grandchildren: Jeff and Marc Lorenzen and Cara and Justin Callahan; nephew, Kevin George; niece, Amy Gill; and special friend and caretaker, Lynn Yenzer. Viewing will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2pm to 6pm, Sunday. Funeral services will be 2pm, Monday, September 25, 2017, at Bethel Community Church.
