Daniel Kolakowski, 83-year-old resident of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away October 29, 2010 at his home. Born March 21, 1927 in Schenectady, New York, he was the son of Frank & Helen Adamkiewicz Kolakowski. He graduated from Iowa State in 1952 with degree in Engineering. He worked for Western Electric for over 35 years. Daniel served his country during WW II in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was first and foremost a family man. He loved boating and water skiing with his family; golfing; and going to horse shows.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Gibbens Kolakowski of the home; 4 daughters, Jeannie K. Sticher of Dana Point, CA; Susan E. Hunt of Broken Arrow, OK; Mary E. Armstrong of Tulsa, OK; Roberta Bachman of Bixby, OK and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Following military honors at the graveside he will be inurned at Resurrection Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
