David was born in San Jose, California on December 30th, 1968 to parents Mary and Pedro. David went on to attend Independence High School in San Jose, California before he made his way to Oklahoma.
In Oklahoma David had many careers. Starting out in 2001, he was in the relocation service as a mover and warehouse manager for A-1 Freeman and later with Ace Transfer and Storage Co. This is when he met his wife, Karen Cortez, who also worked for Ace. The two were bound in marriage on September 18th, 2004.
David ended his stent in the relocation industry in 2009, and went on to try his hand at long haul trucking. Within this career change David quickly found how hard it was to be away from his family and friends for such long periods of time that he decided to do something different and closer to home. Recently he had changed professions from grocery distribution to working for Maxcess International in the manufacturing components division. With this career switch he was finally looking forward to spending more quality time with his family.
David had a passion for cars and motorcycles. He loved travelling, art and music. He had a big love of sports, especially the Las Vegas Raiders (his favorite team), but he was also known to enjoy watching OU play as well. David believed in the value of hard work, and was known by all as a hardworking and loyal man. He cared so much for his friends and family, and lived his life with the mentality that above all he would put his family first. He was taught to respect women, and he instilled this in his children as well. David touched the lives of countless friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
