She was born in Oklahoma City, on May 30, 1949 to parents Grey and Wanda Dresser. Gillian attended John Marshall High school where she went on to graduate and receive her high school diploma. She then attended Central State University.
She was married to Walter Butler on October 28, 1968, where they spent 55 wonderful years together. Gillian had a career as a pharmacy tech. She was an avid reader, probably reading well over a 1000 books in her lifetime, she loved collecting, cooking, old movies and talking with friends and family.
She was survived by her loving Husband Walter Butler, son Chad Butler, daughter Keely Cherry (John), and five beautiful grandchildren, Nathan, William, Ethan, Rey and Natalee. Her brothers Bill (bubby) and Kirk, and numerous nieces and nephews.
It is a great comfort knowing she has joined her mother and sister in heaven.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 24, at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel to honor and pay respects to Gillian and her life that was full of love, spirit, and passion.
