Gwendolyn Marie Casey, 70, passed away on April 23, 2014 in the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City. Gwen was the daughter of Jimmie and Grace Casey. She is survived by her brother Lee, two nieces, three great-nephews, two great-nieces, one aunt, and several cousins. Gwen was a 1962 graduate of John Marshall High School. In 1966, she graduated from Central State College with a B.S. in Education. Subsequently, she earned an M.S. in Library Science from the University of Oklahoma. After being employed for 31 years as a school librarian by the Wichita, Kansas Public Schools, Gwen retired and returned to her childhood home in Oklahoma City.
Gwen may be viewed at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 25 with the family to receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Gwen’s funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26 at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
