James was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 15, 1950 to parents James and Rhama Klingler, and went on to attend and graduate from John Marshall High School in 1969. Following graduation he gave his service to the United States Marine Corp., and through his service in the Vietnam War he was awarded The Purple Heart for courageously protecting a fellow Battle Buddy while he slept.
James loved to make people happy and would strive to put a smile on everyone's face. His family joked that this was especially so for the ladies he met, as he was a ladies man through and through. James' family fondly remembers him as a "jack of all trades" who enjoyed coming up with inventions and tinkering around. He had a serious love for all animals, especially his two "babies", Baby Doll and Hot Stuff, whom both passed alongside him.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James and Rhama Klingler; and Sister, Pamela Holliday.
He is survived by his Brothers, Alex Klingler and Steven Klingler; Sister, Soncia Taylor; As well as his three children, Corey Day, Victoria El-Rhoul, and Joe Klingler.
A graveside service for James will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
