

Laile Denton Warren was born November 22, 1928, in Ponca City, OK, to parents John and Leah Leona (Denton) Gibbon and passed away October 5, 2014, in Broken Arrow, OK. Laile graduated from Blackwell High School in 1947 and married Barbara Ruth Casteel on March 23, 1951, in Earlsboro, OK. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1951 and served in the U.S. Air Force and Reserves, retiring as a Captain in 1961. He obtained his Law Degree from Tulsa University in 1956. Laile was a member of the Jaycees and retired from Conoco in Ponca City. After retirement, Laile and Barbara moved to Oklahoma City and became members of First United Methodist Church in Edmond, OK.
Laile was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Wesley Morgan “Pete” Warren; brother, Roger William Warren; and son-in-law, Frank Thomas Prentice. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children: Rebecca Gayle Prentice, Phillip Kevin Warren and wife Jan, Claudia Beth Cobbs and husband Dean, and Judith Ann Taylor; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who loved him.
A memorial service will be 1:00 pm, Monday, October 13, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Edmond, OK. He will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery.
