Leanne Burris

Carla Leanne Burris, born on May 30, 1942, in Kansas, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024. Leanne is survived by her sister, Kathy; her nephew Scott; her niece, Brandy; and grand-nephews, Justin, Daniel and William.

Leanne had a zest for life that shone through in her love for cats, shopping, and delicious meals shared with friends and family. For 14 years, she brought joy to many as a dedicated employee at Walmart in Stillwater, OK. She took great delight in labeling bagels and handing out cookies, creating sweet moments for everyone around her. Leanne also enjoyed coloring and drawing; and she found joy in the simplest of pleasures—like savoring a Coca-Cola. But it was her visits home to see family that was always of primary importance, as she had a special bond with her sister, and her niece and nephews.

Leanne’s spirit of kindness and her vibrant personality touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Services will be held on November 7, 2024 at 10am, at First United Methodist Church in Stillwater.

A committal service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City following the service.
