With my family, on a ski vacation to Wolf Creek in 1986(?)) Ritch had obtained our plans and location in Pagosa Springs from Fred ; and magically appeared completely at our rental condo by surprise. He wanted to ski with us and we were happy to see him, but had no bed or spare room- not even  a couch to sleep on. To Ritch those were minor impediments. He had a bed roll and tooth brush with him and slept in front of the fireplace on the floor for 2 or 3 nites and bonded with my son , Jordan ( a 10 year old) and one of his mates on the slopes just like he was 1 of the family, which , of course he was.

From Starbucks, to the condo, and the Georgia house, you always found a way to include me.  Today, Ritch, I toast to you from one of the Starbucks mugs you "gifted" me from your adventures.  We will share coffee and stories again. Take care sweet friend.

Ritch and I have been connected for as long as I can remember. I have looked forward to holidays, spring breaks and summer vacations as a kid because I looked forward to spending time with Ritch! Though we only lived near each other for a year or so, we were always scheming a way to get together. We loved playing sports together, building forts, creating the boys club, spying on the girl cousins, riding 3-wheelers, playing golf, playing video games, going to Star Wars movies ... which turned into driving fast cars, chasing girls, which all led to family and a life together, even when we were apart. 
Ritch was the most determined and fun-loving guy I have ever known, in business and life. I never saw that more true than in the last few years ... creativity and determination when others would be looking to retreat, he charged ahead. He will always be an inspiration to push through no matter what life throws my way.

I am so sad, but I can still smile at the times we did things together, including  playing basketball together (Ritchie was a much better player, than me), I will miss him dearly, and my love and sympathy goes out to the family

You will always be Awesome Possum to me!  So many amazing memories with you at your house, on vacations with you and your family and of course riding around in your TransAm with music blaring.  I love your adventurous spirit. You are one of a kind, and I smile every time I think of you. RIP my friend.  I love you!

I am so sad to hear this news and to lose someone who was such a special part of my high school memories.  My high school days were so much better for having known you.  Sending love and prayers to all who were lucky enough to call you their friend.  Rest easy my friend...until we meet again.  

From the days of Yippee Yi Yo cafe, raspberry mochas with everything bagels, to the Marland Mansion to 7-11 stops for your needed goody bag each time we rushed to the hospital to have the kids,  you kept me laughing and some times shaking my head.  You will be missed, much love. XO

I don't even know where to start, I just have so many flashbacks of memories between your family and the Brooks family.  I love that you and Laci crated and such a beautiful family-lucky me to be friends with you both...remember when you took me for Chinese for the first time because you couldn't believe what a picky eater I was??  Remember waking Melissa and I with firecrackers and clever Melissa said to act like we didn't hear it and your were sooooo bummed.   Remember meeting up for breakfast with our kids❤️.  I'm glad they got to meet you.  Knowing you made this world better.  I was better for knowing you.  Godspeed my friend, we will meet up again❤️.
