

Robert Lee Barnett, affectionately known as Bobby, passed away on October 22nd, 2024, in Oklahoma City. Born on August 21st, 1941, to Bill and Mary Barnett, Bobby faced significant challenges from an early age, battling tuberculosis of the spine. Despite doctors’ predictions, he persevered and triumphed, walking and living life to the fullest.
A proud attendant of North East High School, Bobby had a passion for cars and spent many enjoyable hours at Omerta Cigar Lounge. Known for his charm and charisma, he was an ornery man with a quick wit and a penchant for telling jokes—sometimes with a cheeky edge. Bobby had a flair for style, often seen in his signature three-piece suits, reflecting his classy demeanor.
Bobby is remembered for his strength, kindness, and vibrant spirit. He was a proud father and grandfather, as well as a great friend. He is survived by his children, Stacy Sams, Kevin Barnett, and Joe Barnett; Brother, Thomas Barnett; Grandchildren, Marcus, Tyler, Taylor, Jon, Elijah, Dylan, and Zach. As well as many great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mary Barnett, and his brother, Larry Barnett.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Bobby on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Identity Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
