Robert A Garbrecht

Robert A. “Bob” Garbrecht, age 93, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born in New York on January 15, 1932, Bob lived a long life marked by hard work, integrity, service, and devotion to his family.

Bob was the son of Gottlieb and Frida Garbrecht, who preceded him in death. He valued education and discipline, attending Rice University before earning his Juris Doctor from South Texas School of Law. He also served his country in the United States Army for a brief time, an experience he regarded with pride.

Bob spent more than fifty years in the oil and gas industry, building a career defined by perseverance, sound judgment, and leadership. He was a founding partner of OGP Energy Limited Partnerships, where his steady hand and work ethic earned him lasting respect among colleagues and peers.

He was married for 51 years to his first wife, Faustine Garbrecht, until her passing in 2012. Later in life, Bob found companionship and love again with his wife, Fran Garbrecht, who survives him.

Bob will be remembered as a man of principle, measured in his actions, firm in his commitments, and loyal to those he loved. His legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched over the years.

Bob was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Fran Garbrecht; his three sons, Rob Garbrecht and his wife Cindy of Edmond, Oklahoma; Patrick Garbrecht of Houston, Texas; and Doug Garbrecht and his wife Kim of Frisco, Texas; and his grandchildren, Josh, Jarret, Grant, and Kendall. On Fran’s side of the family he is preceded in death by Reid, Fran’s son; and survived by Susan Daffer, David and Di Daffer, Bryan Daffer, together with their eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends who will miss his quiet strength, wisdom, and steady presence.

A memorial service will be held 11:00am January 5, 2026 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, located at 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
