

Russell Lowell Wilson of Oklahoma City departed this earth for his Heavenly home on March 18, 2015. He was born on the family farm near Aledo, OK, and was the fifth of six children. He proudly served his country as a Sgt in the U.S, Army. After his military service he returned to Clinton where he farmed and operated an automotive and body repair business. In 1963 he moved to Oklahoma City where he was a supervisor for Cummins Sales and Service where he worked until his retirement. Russell was a member of the Briton Road Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and worked in the bus ministry. He was preceded in death his wife of 63 years, Joy, his parents, two sisters and one brother. He leaves behind three daughters, Brenda and husband Mike, Atlanta, GA; DeaAnn and husband John, Edmond; RaeLonda and husband Andy, Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Shannon, Frisco, TX, Michelle, Denver, CO; sister Audrey, Midwest City; brother, R.G., Clinton; and many extended family members who will miss him dearly. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Pattie Waggoner, Lesa Mercier, the wonderful thoughtful staff and all the loving residents of Emerald Square Assisted Living Center and the INTEGRIS Home Hospice who respectfully fulfilled his last wish to be at home where they loved and cared for him in his last days. Visitation will be Friday March 20, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Britton Road Church of Christ with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
