

Vera Patrick, Marvin Jones, Robert "Shorty" Jones , Elmer Jones and Tony Jones. Tom grew up in Okemah, Oklahoma and went to Bearden High school and graduated from Midwest City Highschool. During his early years he picked cotton and loved riding his bicycle. For a short number of years his family moved to Arizona with the hopes of helping Tom overcome his asthma.
When he was 16 yrs old when he began framing homes with his older brother. He also dug ditches for 75 cents an hour. Tom attended one year of college before enlisting in the Army for 2 years. Tom framed homes from 1958 to 1969 and has been building "amazing" homes for more than 53 years.
Tom has received multiple awards from the home building community. He received the City of Edmond's Building Excellence Award and accumulated trophies for being the # 1 Builder for fourteen consecutive years. He was in 2nd place one year. Tom loved his work and said" I am going to keep building as long as I can." He was very proud of his subcontractors, many of whom worked with him for more than 20 years. He retired from building reluctantly in 2024. Tom loved to play dominos, poker, bingo and scrabble. He also enjoyed riding his Kawasaki Mule ATV and shooting guns and enjoying the fresh air and great outdoors east of Edmond!
