Dutch was born on July 14, 1931, in Okemah, Oklahoma to Jewell and Jack Rhoades. Dutch served in the Navy on a ship in the South Pacific during the Korean War. He also played baseball during his Navy career as a pitcher. His love was sports. The Cardinals, Thunder and all OU sports was his favorites.
He bowled, fished, played golf, softball, and most of all he enjoyed watching his daughter, nephews and grandson and granddaughter play sports during their schools years. He loved traveling across county by automobile with his wife while playing rock n roll all the way. Dutch owned a commercial drywall and acoustic business. Jobs included hospitals, schools and commercial buildings during his career. He married Rena` Tripp on May 29, 1973. He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Haslam, grandson, Justin Paris and granddaughter Amanda Haslam from Oklahoma, and great grandson Asher Paris. Two sisters Violet Roberts and husband Cleo from Oklahoma City, Bernis Collier and husband Leon from Wewoka, OK. One brother Dustie Rhoades from Sapulpa, OK and many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Travie Rhoades, and a sister, Jaqueline Harjo.
