

William A. (Bill) Dunn , 91, of Oklahoma City, passed away December 20, 2010. He was born September 26, 1919, in Oklahoma City, OK. He attended Classen High School and OSU, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. While in college, WWII broke out, and he was stationed in Europe. After the war, he met Eileen Carletti Fezler. They were married on December 29, 1946. They lived in Enid, Lawton, Muskogee and Oklahoma City during their 64 years together. For the last 45 years, while in Oklahoma City, they were members of Crown Heights United Methodist Church, Regency and Revelers Dance Club, Mayfair Dance Club and Sundowners. Bill served as president of both Regency and Revelers Dance Clubs. He was also president of Optimist Clubs of Lawton and Muskogee. He was active in Reserve Officers Association, the Men's Dinner Club and the 45th Infantry Division Museum. He spent many hours volunteering with the Sundowners and as board member of the 45th Museum.
Bill was a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and the Army Command and General Staff College. Even though he entered the service as a private in January 1941, he retired as a Colonel. He also retired from Southwestern Bell with 35 years of service.
Bill and Eileen loved to travel and visited all states except for the Dakotas. They also crossed the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans 18 times and visited five continents. One of their favorite trips was an Alaskan cruise where they hosted their whole family.
Bill is survived by his wife, Eileen; and their two children: Ann Dunn Wooley of Tampa, Florida; and son, Robert Ellis Dunn, Valley View, Texas. He is survived by grandchildren: Jana Wooley Flowers, Tampa, FL; and Alex Wooley of Austin, TX; great-grandchildren: Emma Ruth, Noah Wade and Lila Elizabeth Flowers, all of Tampa, FL.
Funeral services were Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Crown Heights United Methodist Church.
