William J. McKelvey was born March 27, 1927 in Clearfield, Iowa where he grew up and was Valedictorian of his high school graduating class. William then enlisted at age 17 in the Navy and served during WWII. When he came home he went to Lincoln, Nebraska to work at Western Electric. Here he met Mable Woods, who would become his wife.
Together they had a son Gary, who preceded them in death, and a daughter, Susan McGraw; Son-in-law, Patrick McGraw; Grandson, Sean and wife Leanne; as well as 3 great grandchildren Elsie, Brecken, and Desmond.
William worked at Western Electric in Lincoln, Oklahoma City, and Dallas for over 45 years, and was also a member of the Village Methodist Church for over 50 years. He will be greatly missed.
