Cristóbal Lima, a devoted father, proud grandfather, and beloved son, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on October 18, 1956, in Matanzas, Cuba, where his story began, surrounded by the vibrant culture and coastal waters that would inspire his lifelong love of the sea.
Cristóbal’s life was a true testament to resilience, family, and strong work ethic. After leaving Cuba, he built a life rooted in hard work and perseverance, carrying with him the traditions and values instilled by his parents. The water was his sanctuary—he found joy in fishing and boating, never happier than when he could cast a line or set out on the open water.
Above all, Cristóbal loved his family. His children and grandchildren were the pride of his life, and he never missed a chance to tell them how deeply they were loved. Known for his quick wit, humor, and warm smile, Cristóbal left an impression on everyone he met.
Cristóbal is survived by his father, Epifanio Lima; his two children, Christy Elliott and Christopher Lima; and his two beloved grandchildren, Christian Lima and Mason Elliott. They will carry forward the values he lived by—love for family, strength in adversity, and the importance of enjoying life’s simple blessings.
His legacy will live on at the water’s edge, in the laughter of his grandchildren, and in the countless stories told by those who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he has cast his final line, the ripples of his love will continue to touch all who knew him.
