Dean is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna; his daughter Britney (Cody); and his son Dustin (Amanda). He will forever be cherished by his two grandchildren, Cooper and Harper. He will be remembered by his siblings Joseph, Carla, Pamela, and Denise; and his mother, Luella.
Dean was born in Metairie, LA. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph.
He was an athlete from a young age. He was a cross country runner at Bonnabel High School, a semi-professional motocross and ATV racer, and a champion watercross racer. He became an icon in the personal watercraft world as a tuner and builder. He amassed countless national and world titles from racers all over the world.
Dean was an entrepreneur from a young age. His first company, Autobahn Motor Werks, was a successful automotive shop in the heart of downtown Orlando. He started another family business in Indiana, Bid-It-Now, where Dustin and Britney worked by his side. His race team, Dean’s Team Racing, transitioned to a business in 2016 when he decided to bring his expertise to the public.
Dean was one-of-a-kind in every way - his generosity, how he expressed his love, his unique sense of humor, and his pursuit of perfection. Christmas was his favorite holiday not because of what he would receive, but because of the joy he found in giving. When it came to love, Dean’s actions spoke louder than words. He would not have to say the words aloud because if he loved you, you felt it. His “dad” jokes were his personal signature, and it was easy to recognize a “Dean” joke.
His memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 4 PM at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill in Orlando, FL. Jacque Bryant will be officiating.
A Celebration of Life will follow at Britney’s residence.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in memory of Dean.
