Jo Ellen Abbott League, Lakeland, died Monday, December 22, 2025. She was born in Martinsville, IN, July 28, 1933 to Raymond and Ruth Abbott. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Chadwell Abbott, his wife Margaret and her 4th husband, Michael R. League. She is survived by her 6 children, Deborah Fuddy (Richard), Mark Jarman (Peggy), Bert Kenneth Jarman Jr., Teresa Robbins, Tamara Puckett (Paul Jackson), Dawn Jarman, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Jo Ellen graduated high school from Orlando Senior High in 1951 and attended Orlando Junior College where she studied Interior Design. She was a long time member of Central Christian Church, Orlando, where she was an active member and frequent soloist in the church choir and after moving became a member of Restoration Fellowship Church of Lakeland. She loved art, crafting, design, music, singing and sharing her creative spirit with others.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at The Estates at Carpenters, 1001 Carpenters Way, Lakeland, FL, 33809, on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Burial will be held following her Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL 32817.
