

The Beautiful life of Mrs. Martha Lovenia Riddick Bell, age 70, of Orlando, Florida came to an end when the “Angel of Silence” closed the eyes of this beloved Sister, Aunt, Godmother and friend on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
Martha was born in Currituck, North Carolina, to James E. Riddick Jr., and the late Mary E. Riddick, on July 17, 1952.
She was married to the late Eric A. Bell, in February of 1999, and together they shared many wonderful years before his passing.
Martha worked as an Admin assistant for Bell Atlantic, which is formally known as Verizon for many years, until she happily retired.
She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church, in Jarvisburg, North Carolina
Martha had a passion for modeling, partying, gambling and spending as much time as she could with the people that loved her. Martha especially loved entertaining her friends and family.
She is survived by her father, James E. Riddick Jr., of Currituck, NC.; 3 siblings, Doris Dade, of Chesapeake, VA., Mickel Riddick, (Sweetpea) of Currituck, NC, and Brenda Lindsey, of Baro, NC. 1 ‘Child’, as she would call her, Monique Dade, of Chesapeake, Virginia (godchild and niece), 8 nieces and nephews, 34 great nieces and nephews and a plethora of other friends and family.
In 1971 Martha graduated from Joseph P. Knapp High School in Currituck, North Carolina and from there went quite literally almost everywhere. While in High School Martha participated in many sports and extracurriculars including, basketball, cheer, majorette and sewing classes. Martha also loved to travel and shop! She loved doing her makeup and getting ready everyday. She married the love of her life in 1999 and together they were inseparable. Some of their travels together include : Canada, The Bahamas, The Virgin Islands, Jamaica and so forth; that was something they loved to do together. Martha lived in New York for 35 years and from there did a complete 360 and moved to Florida.
