Mary was born on December 18, 1928 in Winter Park, Florida to Amos and Rachel Barr. She graduated from Oviedo High School in 1947. One day after graduation she married the love of her life, Paul Howard of Orlando.
Mary was a faithful wife, moving with her military husband for 29 years before he retired and they settled in Union Park. Mary was an amazing mother, loving sister, aunt and friend. She was a follower of Christ and a member of Union Park Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and 5 sisters: Ruby Brown, Pearl Owen, June Mullis, Grace Ellis and Beverly Threatt. She is survived by her brother Amos H Barr, Jr, her children Paul Marcus Howard, Leesburg, GA and Paula Kathleen Howard (Steve) Baumgardner, Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by her grandsons Ezekiel (Kasie) Baumgardner, Elijah (Linda) Baumgardner, and Paul Thomas Howard and step great granddaughter Linda Delgado as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Proverbs 31: 10 – 31 perfectly describes Mary who was as beautiful on the inside and she was on the outside. One of the joys of her life was helping others, especially her immediate and extended family. Mary’s life exemplified her love of God and her love of family, a generous spirit, compassion for others and a great joy in traveling. Her warm and sweet spirit will be greatly missed by family and friends – while rejoicing in the fact that she now lives eternally with her beloved Savior.
