

He is survived by his wife Amy Stanberry and her 3 sons Rhett, Gabriel and Jordan Stanberry, his sister Onnie Glisson, and her husband Russ Dillard.
Randy was born in Okinawa, while his Dad served in the Marine Corps. They lived on marine bases in Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio and returned to Okinawa while Randy was in middle school. The Glisson family then moved to Florida while was Randy was in High School. He graduated from UCF and worked in the Financial Services arena, providing college IRA’s for families seeking to save for their children’s future, and helping working women get their child support.
Randy was known for his dance cruises. He established the format for the cruise, handled bookings, lined up dance instructors and DJs, promoted the cruise through flyers and personal contact with members of the dance community, and made certain that everyone had an enjoyable time on the cruise. Attendance ranged up to nearly 100 people per cruise. During Randy’s leadership years, there were one or two cruises per year, to destinations including the Eastern and Western Caribbean, Alaska with optional overland train trip to Denali, and the Mediterranean for 10 days in Rome, Venice, Barcelona, and Croatia.
Randy was a dance host at retirement dance communities. He took great pride in making the ladies feel young again. He was careful and gentle with them. He often said that he half carried some of them across the floor, making certain they would not injure themselves.
Randy met Amy at a ballroom dance event in Winter Park. They were married in 2015 at the Unity Church in Columbine, Colorado. They shared 11 beautiful years together.
