

She passed away on Thursday April 25, 2019 at 11:53pm peacefully in her home at 104 Mercado Ave, Orlando, fl. under hospice care.
She is survived in Orlando by her Husband Ivan Diaz, Son Juan C. Diaz, Granddaughter Adriana Diaz,
Sister Maria, and Brother Miguel.
In Cuba brothers Digno, Luis, Sisters Ofelia, Mirta, and Fina. And many nieces, nephews, sister in-laws, and brother in-laws, cousins, and many friends.
She was very close to her former daughter in-law Simona Rekstyte Sahin which was also by her side till the end.
Zoraida came from Cuba with her husband and son on February 7 1969 to Miami, Florida, then 3 months later moved to Manhattan NYC, then in 1971 moved to the Bronx, NYC where she was a superintendent of a building, then in 1975 moved to Orlando, Fl. Started working for the Hyatt House Resort, and then in 1976 went to work for Walt Disney World and retired in 1991as a game room attendant/cashier at the Disney Polynesian Village Resort. Zoraida loved to sew and cook.
She was a very good cook, everyone loved her black beans and white rice, but she could cook anything.
She was very happy becoming a grandmother on March 17, 2001 to Adriana Diaz and they both shared a Birthday Adriana was the joy of her life. Zoraida was loved by many people and would touch your heart when you first met her.

The Viewing is on Friday 5/3 from 5pm to 9pm at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday 5/4 at 3pm. And the Burial on Saturday 5/4 at 4pm
