

Audrey Lucille (Ward) Patrick passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011, at the Baldwin HealthCare and Rehab Center after a short illness. She was born September 29, 1914 in LeRoy, KS, to Benjamin F., Jr. and Gertrude (Thompson Carter) Ward. She graduated from LeRoy High School. On August 4, 1935, she married her sweetheart of five years, Donald (Pat) Patrick. They shared 72 years of marriage. Audrey was a homemaker and caregiver and volunteered for many years with Girl and Boy Scouts, the Argentine Kitchen and worked with the Crosslines Christmas Shop. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and Harmony Circle. She loved sewing, crafting, reading and gardening and was an avid fan of local area sports teams. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald; a son, Ward; her parents; 5 sisters and 2 brothers and their spouses; and several nieces and a nephew. She is survived by: a daughter, Anita (Roger) White, Baldwin City; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Patrick, Baldwin City; grandson, Patrick (Cindy) White, Baldwin City; and granddaughters, Kimberly (Paul) Kiechlin, Williamsburg, VA, and Kelly (Tom) Nutter, Edmond, OK; great grandchildren: Andrew, Taylor, Eric, Jordan and John Kiechlin, and Evan Nutter; a sister-in-law, Lois Dewey, Longmont, CO; 2 step-great granddaughters and 2 step-great great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday morning, July 2, 2011, from 10-11 AM at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 6422 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS, followed by services at 11 AM. Burial will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church or Grace Hospice.
