

Betty was born on March 31, 1931 to Samuel A. Pegg and Mary E. (Chaffee) Pegg in Lansing, MI. She graduated J.W. Sexton High School in 1949. The many careers she held during her life included: the first Police Clerk for the Mason Police Department, Chief Court Clerk for the 55th District Court in Mason, MI; All Star Realtor and Mason State Bank. Betty was a Life Member of the OES Masonic Temple #150. She also was a member of the Elks Lodge, Red Hat Society, a long-time volunteer at Fenner Nature Park, and a life-member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years. She enjoyed traveling and golf, but her true love was her home, family and friends. Betty valued and was dedicated to her Church, Community Baptist of Grand Ledge, MI. Her church family was very dear to her heart. Her virtues were her love for life, a warm heart and a giving nature. She was known for her sense of humor, quick wit, and she could make any one smile.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Elliott J. Moore; and her only brother, Richard C. Pegg.
She is survived by her only son, Douglas L. Dilday (Mary); grandsons, Corey S. Dilday (Sara) and Eric T. Dilday (Jennifer); great-granddaughters, Scout, Sloan and Amelia.
A memorial service will be scheduled in the Spring at Community Baptist Church, Grand Ledge, MI, with private inurnment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mason, MI. Memorial contributions are suggested to Fenner Nature Center, Community Baptist Church, your local Humane Society or local Food Bank.
