

Cecile B. Driscoll, 95, Louisburg, KS, formerly of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Louisburg, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Monday, October 31 at Church of the Holy Cross, 8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum, Lenexa, KS. Visitation will be 4-6:00 PM Sunday, October 30, with the Rosary being prayed at 5:30 PM at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Community Hospice, 9740 W. 87th Street, Overland Park, KS, 66212.
Cecile was born January 29, 1916, in Young America, Carver County, Minnesota, to parents Frederick I. and Amelia L. (Paul) Braunwarth. On December 27, 1941, she married Daniel K. Driscoll of Minneapolis, MN, at Ascension Catholic Church in Norwood, MN. Cecile was retired from C.J. Patterson where she worked in purchasing. She was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Overland Park where she helped establish and coordinated the scheduling for the Perpetual Adoration Chapel. She also belonged to the Legion of Mary, the Sunshine Club, and the Quilter’s and Crafters. She loved to quilt and is known for the many baby quilts she made.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Amelia and Fred Braunwarth; her sister, Anne Giesen; and her brother Fritzi Braunwarth. She is survived by: her sister, Hortense Danieluk; daughter Patricia A. Thomson and husband Clarence; son, Daniel F. Driscoll, and wife, Pattie; daughter, Joanne K.
