Donald R. Percival, 84, died Monday January 21, 2013. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McGilley & Hoge, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park , Kansas. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 71st and Metcalf in Overland Park, Kansas, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Raytown, Missouri.
A devoted father and grandfather, Don was born in Barada, Nebraska on October 31, 1928. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Josephine, his parents, Alfred and Olive, and three brothers, Roland, Russell and Teddy. He is survived by his twin sister Dorothy Martin, daughter, Donna Hogue and her husband Bill, and son John, all of Overland Park; grandchildren, Kevin & Natalie Hogue and Monica & Brian Percival, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all doctors, paramedics, nurses and nursing home employees who took care of Don during his many visits.
