Dorothy Williamson of Overland Park, KS passed away December 14, 2011. Visitation at 10 AM, Saturday, December 17th, followed by Mass of Christian burial 11 AM, Cure’ of Ars, 9301 Mission Rd., Leawood, KS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
Dorothy graduated from Loretto Academy. After high school she worked for the telephone company. She married her husband, “Willie”, in 1946. During 52 years of marriage, she took pride in raising her children before beginning her career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Kansas City, MO. After retiring in 1989, she enjoyed her life with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Adolph Schwarz and Lila Ann Stewart, her husband Thomas Sr. “Willie”, son Thomas Jr., and two brothers, Jack Schwarz and Martin Schwarz. She is survived by her children: Colleen Killian (Rolla), Eileen Baker (George Hohl), Maureen Conran (Mike), Judy Tomjack (Keith); grandchildren: Jeffrey Brown (Maria), Jill Konen (Michael), Lori Killian Lewellen (Chris), Dana Killian Gephart (Eric), Jason Williamson (Jennifer), Brian Williamson, Julie Marriott (Brent), David Williamson (Erin McKnight), Cari Prater (Joe), Jessi Conran, Matt Tomjack; 19 great grandchildren; a brother Paul Schwarz (Rosellen), sister Lila Riscoe (John), and sister-in-law, Shirley Gensler; many nieces, nephews, friends, Cure’ of Ars Bingo buddies. Special recognition to Liz Miller, whose friendship began in their first year at Loretto Academy, and thrived with laughter throughout their lives.
