Elizabeth Rose Newman, 78, of Leawood, Kansas passed away August 16, 2014. Beth was born on October 29, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended St. Francis Xavier Grade School, Bishop Hogan High School and St. Teresa’s College. Beth was an interior designer for Madden McFarland Interiors for 25 years.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, John Mullin and Cathryn Mullin Russell; husband Patrick, sister Martha, infant daughter Mary Martha, son John Clarence and grandson Christopher.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathryn Weaver and Martha Newman, son Michael Newman, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends and other family members.
Rosary will be prayed at 10:30am, Monday, August 18, 2014, followed by Mass at 11am, at Curè of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS 66206, where Beth was a member for almost 30 years. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, KCMO. Online condolences may be left at www.mcgilleyhoge.com.
