Frances J. Sherry, 79, Overland Park, KS, passed away November 7, 2010. Funeral services will be 12:30 PM, Wednesday, November 10 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park. Visitation will precede the service from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM. Burial will be at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Frances was born June 20, 1931 in Clayton, NM. She was a loving wife and mother, and a proud member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Lela Hobbs, and husband Loyd C. Sherry; sisters: Doris Irvin, Lorene Nolen; brother: Earl Hobbs; and daughter: Marion Taylor. She is survived by her children: Jeanette Shoemaker and Kenneth Shoemaker; grandchildren: Jessica Byndom and Shawn Taylor, and two great granddaughters.
A memorial service for Frances' daughter, Marion, will be held at the same time. Marion F. Taylor, 53, passed away October 17, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Shoemaker. Survivors include: a son, Shawn Taylor; siblings, niece and great nieces listed above.
