Herb Jones

Herbert Glenn Jones, age 64, of Shawnee, KS passed away June 11, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be 1-2:00 pm on Saturday, June 18th at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm at the chapel on Saturday. Herb was born on February 6, 1952 in Kansas City, MO. He was married to his high school sweetheart, N. Susie Jones on June 16, 1972. He was a newspaper distributor for 40+ years, after which he owned a small online business. Herb was very active in his children’s lives, coaching baseball, softball and helping with boy scouts. He loved fishing, bird watching, playing with his dog and watching all sports, especially the Chiefs, Royals, KSU and KU.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Lavern Jones. Survivors include his mother, Waneta Jones; his wife, N. Susie Jones and their children, H. Rachelle and Jeromy; his sister, Carol Brown and her family, husband, Jeff and children, Lucas and Chloe; and daughter-in-law, Amanda Harbison.
