Joanne never met a stranger, was outgoing, and had a wicked sense of humor. She felt so blessed to have Richard as her husband of 48 years and her many lifelong friends. Her greatest pride was her two sons, Michael and Steve Seck. She also loved her stepchildren, Cheryl Hall, Dick Tussel, Jr., and Stacy Tussel. One of her greatest gifts in life was her granddaughter, Lyndsey Seck “who made her heart smile!”
Her 32 years at Rockhurst College brought her much joy and pride in the many students she mentored and counseled regarding career choices. Joanne was an avid reader, loved Elvis and Country Music, and traveling with Richard through most of the USA and Canada (she loved the National Parks). Joanne had a distain for cooking but loved entertaining family and friends.
SHE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER.
Joanne is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Michael K. Seck (Sharon) and Steven P. Seck; beloved granddaughter, Lyndsey K. Seck; three stepchildren, 10 step grandchildren, and 16 great step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Rockhurst College.
