Born on July 3, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, Kenneth lived a life marked by service, dedication, and devotion to the people he loved. A proud Vietnam veteran, he served his country with courage and honor-an experience that shaped the strength, humility, and quiet resilience that everyone who knew him admired.
Kenneth made his home in Overland Park, Kansas, where he spent most of his life surrounded by family and lifelong friends. In his younger years, he worked as an assembly worker for General Motors, earning a reputation for strong work ethic, reliability, and the camaraderie he built on the line. Kenneth later continued his automotive career at New Century Dodge, working in wholesale parts, where his knowledge of cars, engines, and the industry served him well.
Kenneth held a deep passion for cars and motorcycles, especially his beloved Harley-Davidson bikes. In his youth, he and his brother, Jerry, spent many weekends riding together and creating lifelong memories on the open road. He also had a special affection for dogs, always happiest with a loyal companion by his side.
From his first marriage, he was the proud father of Sheri Page (Johnny Page) and Emily Wingerter, whom he cherished deeply. He was a loving grandfather to Nicholas Mitchell Sr., Jordan Page, Alexis Slater, and Dylan Page, and a proud great-grandfather to Avery Mitchell and Nicholas Mitchell Jr. He also shared special bonds with his nephews, Robert Wingerter and Kenneth S. Wingerter, who held an important place in his heart.
On June 14, 1989, Kenneth married Karen Wingerter, his devoted partner for more than three decades. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and shared pride in their growing family.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Wingerter Sr.; his mother, Elizabeth Irwin; his brother, Clifford "Jerry" Wingerter Jr.; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Wingerter.
Kenneth leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, love, and quiet strength. Those who knew him will forever remember his gentle humor, steadfast presence, and the deep pride he carried for his family. May Kenneth rest in peace, held forever in the warm embrace of the memories he leaves behind.
