"Fearless" is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Leslie.  Whatever adventures and life pursuits she chose - in the arts, the outdoors, sports, career - she pursued so fearlessly and humbly.  This includes sharing love and laughter with others.

I'm glad I got to work with you Leslie.  Godspeed.

Leslie came out to Tennessee and stayed with me for a week.  She and I went up to MT. LeConte and took this sunrise video.  Godspeed Leslie!!!  You were such a treasure to have known.

Leslie and I were colleagues at The Principle Foundation.  The longer we worked together, the more I discovered there was a lot to like about her.  

She had a great sense of humor; she loved the outdoors; she was diligent in her work and paid attention closely.  She was a steady presence and always seemed to be completely unintimidated by the challenges of a demanding work environment.  

She loved God and she was a faithful follower of the teachings of the Christ and Christian Science.  

It was a pleasure to work with her every single day.  

I believe she takes all of those lovely qualities with her and is just enjoying her next adventure.  I'll miss seeing her in the office, but I'm even more grateful for the opportunity to work side-by-side with her.

Leslie is that one-of-a-kind friend who lands in your life and enriches your lifetime forever.  To know her is to love her.  And it has been such an honor to know Leslie and to be blessed by her wonderful sense of humor, joy, and selflessness.  She is truly and dearly missed.

There's no doubt that Leslie is continuing to bless and be blessed in her eternal spiritual, adventurous journey, with God at her right hand. 

When I knew Leslie in Alton, she was such fun. When I heard we would be co-workers in Kansas City, I was so glad and was looking forward to getting to know her better.  

I know you’re letting your light shine where you are, Leslie, but I will miss you, your smile, and your joy.

Although we only knew Leslie for a few months here at The Principle Foundation, we loved her immediately! Her refreshing frankness, warmth, and down-to-earth clarity brought a new note to our group.  Personally, I loved her energy and optimism — and the home-made smoothies she brought me!

Thanksgiving will not be the same. Who am I going to make ridiculous potty jokes with? Who will debate me about who is the hottest Bond? (I mean, you and I know...our beloved Pierce is tops). Who's going to carve the turkey...and then make me a leftover sandwich for work the next day?

Just a few things I'll miss about you, Aunt Les. And a few things I'll carry on in your honor. Its still hard to believe you're really gone. 

But when we look out the window and see an impossibly beautiful butterfly fluttering past on a dreary November day as we sit down to eat...we'll know you're there. And we'll leave you a seat.

I will miss our adventures together sister, but I am comforted to know wherever you are now you are continuing to fulfill your passion to explore new things. Love you always!

My adventurous and multitalented sister stands in my book as one who is continuing to love life.  I will miss her humor and lively, intelligent conversations. I will never forget her enthusiasm,  joy  and courage in learning new skills and sharing them with me, family and friends.
