

Lois Margaret Peterson, 92, passed away December 28, 2017 at Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care. Memorial services will be 4pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS with visitation from 3-4pm prior to the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
Lois was born on September 28, 1925 in Broken Arrow, OK to James and Carrie Friggel. She graduated from Broken Arrow High School. She would go on to marry Andy Peterson July 29, 1949 and they moved to Kansas City in 1954. She became in involved with Recovery International where she volunteered to help others for over 50 years. She was always there to help anyone who needed anything. Family was important. She was a loved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother who rarely missed a ball game, dance recital or any other activity that was thrown her way. Her love of dolls and crafts have been passed on to later generations. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy; son, Michael, brothers, John Friggel, Jamie Friggel, and Bill Friggel and sisters, Lucille Mayfield, Jeanne Linell and Arlene Jackson. She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Rankin of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter, Andra Boyle of Overland Park; grandchildren, Aaron (Morgan) Boyle of Louisburg and Lindsay Dustin of Overland Park; four great grandchildren and many other friends and family.
