Marilyn Stowe Bechtel passed away March 7, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House. She was born May 1, 1939 to Robert and Frances (Kirkpatrick) Stowe in Kansas City, MO. Marilyn graduated from North Kansas City High School and attended Central Missouri State University. Prior to her retirement she worked for Black & Veatch.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Bechtel in 2008. Survivors include three daughters: Lynn of Lawrence, Kathy Zink (Eric), Olathe, and Christie Fischer (Mike), Overland Park; five grandchildren Nathan and Ryan Fischer, and Reilly, Rachel and Cory Zink; sister, Margene Petraitis (Bill) and niece Dana Koenig (John) of Plant City, FL.
A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at 10:00 am with visitation following on Saturday, March 12 at McGilley & Hoge. Private burial at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
