Mary "Yvonne" Irons

Mary “Yvonne” Irons, 83, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015. Yvonne was born on April 9, 1931, in Macon, MO, the first of four daughters of Haley and Lillie Mae Latchford. She spent her childhood in Atlanta, MO and graduated from Atlanta High School. After high school, Yvonne moved to Kansas City and lived in the area for the rest of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands, Daniel J. Shine, Arthur J. “Bud” Peterson and William T. Irons. She is survived by her children, Rick Shine, Deb Super (Kevin) and Robin Peterson; her three sisters, Patricia Wilcox, Kay Walker and Judy Baughman; her grandchildren, Jamie, Becca, Bryce, Kenny, Karlie and Kelsie; her great grandchildren, Phoenix, Danika and Josiah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st Street, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be 9-10 am Thursday at the church prior to the service. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.
