

Pat is survived by his wife Linda (Swisher), three sons, Scott Wetschensky (Sallie), Bryan and Michael White; granddaughters Megan and Erin Wetschensky, his sister Maureen O’Connor (Dennis) of New Hope, MN, his brother F. Terry White (Bonnie) of Odessa, MO, his sister Kathleen Hampton (Tom) of Turney, MO his sister Eileen Werner (Joe) of Harrisonville, MO, his sister, Kareen White, of St. Louis, MO and many nieces and nephews – all of whom loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Colonel Frank and Bernelle White (Westfahl) and his sister Colleen White.
Pat enjoyed a long career in retail management before realizing the dream of his life. Pat founded Trinity House Catholic Book and Gift store in Overland Park, KS where he was able to combine his love of retail with his love of God. Pat successfully operated Trinity House for 16 years providing the Greater Kansas City community with an opportunity to expand their faith, and celebrate their Irish heritage through the Wee Irish Shop in Trinity House. Pat had a lifelong love of cars and enjoyed touring with Linda in their 1929 Shay Model A. Pat was an avid sports fan and was one of the first cheerleaders, for the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club, leading cheers at the first Super Bowl. Pat served his Parish in adult men’s ministry and was a member of the Knight’s of Columbus. Pat also had a great love of both nature and photography which he has inspired in others, seeing the beauty in God’s design.
Visitation will be at the Church of the Ascension, 9510 W. 127th St. Overland Park, KS 66213, Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 7pm. The Rosary will be prayed at 9am, followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10am, on Monday, April 27, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to James P. Keleher House of Love, which is an orphanage, school and provides vocational training in India, c/o the Arch Diocese of Kansas City in Kansas, 12615 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS 66109.
