

Robert P. Hosty, age 57, of Blue Bell, PA passed away on May 6th, 2011, after a short illness with cancer. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 12th at St. Agnes Church, 5250 Mission Road, Roeland Park, KS. Friends may call between 9-11 am at the church. A Rosary will be held at 10:30 am and the funeral mass begins at 11:00 am. Bob was born in Louisville, KY and spent his early years in Dallas, TX. However, Bob's formative years were spent in Westwood, KS. He was a 1971 graduate of Bishop Miege High School and he has a B.S. degree from University of Kansas and his MBA from Incarnate Word University in San Antonio, TX. Bob enjoyed a successful career as an insurance underwriter both in Texas and Pennsylvania, most recently with Montgomery Management in Bluebell, PA. Bob will be remembered for his gentle and quiet nature, his dry sense of humor, his love of learning through books, and most of all his love and devotion to family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Janet Hosty and his brother Michael Hosty. He is survived by his father James P. Hosty, his three brothers James P. Hosty of Dallas, TX, Richard Hosty of Overland Park, KS and Thomas Hosty of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by his four sisters, Teri McGuire of Castle Rock, CO, Janet Schlake of KCMO, Maureen Hosty of Portland, OR and Cathy Hair of KCMO. Bob will also be missed by the 23 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews who loved and adored "Uncle Bob." Memorial contributions may be made to Dominican Friars of Lubbock, the order of Bob's beloved uncle and namesake Fr. Robert Perry. (Southern Dominican Province, 1421 N.
