Thomas B. Gibbons was born on 11/13/27 to Harry and Aurelia Gibbons in Kansas City, MO. Tom graduated from St. Elizabeth's Catholic grade school and Hogan High School. Tom then went on to serve in the Korean War where he was honorably discharged and returned back to Kansas City, MO. Tom met and fell in love with Rose Marie Gibbons and they were married on 10/9/52 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Tom and Rose celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this year. Their marriage was always filled with love, happiness, laughter, fun and their Catholic faith. Tom is survived by his wife, Rose and their 4 daughters: Mary Rita (Shanon O'Meara), Patti (Robert Heck, Jr.), Joanne, and Margaret (Scott Hardesty). Tom leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 1 adorable great granddaughter. Dad worked for years at Crepaco Industries, where he took early retirement. Dad then worked for Mutual Benefit Life Insurance, where he again retired from. Dad loved baseball, hockey, genealogy and watching westerns on TV. Dad was a great dog lover and our family home was never without at least 1 dog. Mom always referred to dad as steady and sure as the rock of gibralter. Dad was always honest, reliable, dependable, kind, compassionate, loving and along with Rose Marie gave their daughters the extraordinary gift of their Catholic faith. Dad always said "When you look in the mirror, be proud of the person you see" I know dad always was. Dad was a perfect role model as a son, husband and father. Dad you will forever be loved, admired and respected and will forever be missed.
