Barbara J Gibbs

Barbara J. Gibbs, 86, of Oviedo, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025. Born on August 22, 1938, in Orlando, Florida, Barbara lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

A proud graduate of Edgewater High School, Barbara married her beloved husband, William T. Gibbs, on November 16, 1957. Together, they shared a beautiful life until his passing in 2015. Barbara's enduring love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she is survived by her three devoted children: Debbie Moten (Antoine), Greg Gibbs (Tracey), and Glen Gibbs (Chris).

Barbara was a beloved grandmother to her six grandchildren: Justin Gibbs (Faith), Jacob Burleson (Natalie) , Melissa Brown (Eric), Stephanie Gibbs, Matthew Burleson (Stephanie), and Joshua Gibbs (Eric). Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Dean, Berkley, Tyler, Lily, Sam, Blake, Zachary, Cameron, Ryan, Hayden, Gavin, Garrett, Guner, Apollo, Addy, and Wyatt, who brought her immense joy.

She is also survived by her siblings, Tom Minter (Susan) and Jim Minter (Peggy), and was preceded in death by her sister, Judi Minter.

Barbara's warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her generous heart and the love she shared with her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, allowing all who loved her to come together and honor her memory

A visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 501 E MITCHELL HAMMOCK RD, OVIEDO, FL 32765. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at St. Alban’s Anglican Cathedral, 3348 W State Rd 426, Oviedo, FL 32765. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
